“Single and Loving It” on

February 11, 2010

It’s hard not to catch the irony, don’t you think?

On the day after Bob moved in, ran my article called “Single and Loving It”.  It’s a piece adapted from the chapter called “Where Is It Written?” in Happily Ever After Divorce: Notes of a Joyful Journey.

Oh, well. I still stand by what it says:

I’ll admit that there is one pitfall of staying unattached. When you do meet The Right One, the pleasures of single life can be awfully hard to give up.

This is a great post – simply true too. I am thoroughly enjoying being single, but I know when I find that “one” that makes me happy, while it will be wonderful, I will miss certain things about being single. But it’s still something to look forward to, at the same time, while enjoying singledom now!

Very true; however, it makes the times when you do have alone time all the more enjoyable.

True, but the sweetness of NOT being alone will soon be much greater than having less room on the sink. Needing to share a thought, and there is someone there? Priceless. A cup of tea brought to you when you are feeling ill? Wonderful. This is why happy people love being married.
